Marloes Pomp

Marloes Pomp is the co-initiator and Program Officer for the blockchain projects within the Dutch Government, “Blockchainpilots.nl”. She is responsible for the international strategy of the Dutch Blockchain Coalition, the largest blockchain public-private partnership in The Netherlands.

In order to establish the exact opportunities and threats of blockchain technology, Blockchainpilots.nl started 35 pilot projects within the Dutch Government. Some of them are in the prototype phase, others are (being) implemented. Marloes has also built an international network with governments working together on several topics, sharing prototypes and knowledge. Marloes was the mission leader of the first official blockchain trade mission to Singapore in 2018. She is currently working on several cross-border use cases between the Netherlands and Dubai, India, Singapore, Canada and several EU countries.

Prior to her involvement in blockchain, Marloes held several roles as a project leader and researcher at governmental institutions, including Ministry of Internal Affairs, the City of Amsterdam, the Dutch Court and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She serves as an advisory member for the SIDN Fund, the Dutch Court, several Blockchain research programs and a few Blockchain startups.
